Planar Transformers

A planar transformer not only has a lower-profile, it can also be constructed differently than most traditional transformers. Planars can either contain the wound copper themselves or the winding can actually be placed on the circuit board. In either instance, they almost always use a ferrite planar core.

Shown below are just a few of GEI Components’ standard planar transformers. Clicking on a thumbnail will lead directly to a specification file or a page showing more information on that series plus a link to its specs. To request a quote or further information, please see the Contact page.

GEI also has a new catalog in PDF format featuring its "GHS" Series of planar transformers. This file requires Adobe Reader or any other program that handles PDF files.
